Guideline Stoked DH Fly Rod

Stoked Double Hand rods offer outstanding value for the price. They are built with the same remarkable finish as the single hand versions. Undoubtedly one of the lightest rod ranges in its price bracket. Well-balanced and easy-to-cast, medium fast actions with a forgiving curve that absorbs beginner errors and produces a lot of “feel” in the casting stroke. Compared to the Elevation these rods feature a slightly lower modulus carbon 24T/30T/36T vs. 36T/40T which make them a joy to cast. Stoked Double Hand rods work equally well loaded with a Scandi Head or a Skagit rig.   All Stoked rods feature the latest in materials and production technology. This allows us to make entry level rods at a totally game changing level. The Stoked series also features many of the same eco-friendly components and processes as our Elevation rods do, making them a great choice for the environmentally cautious angler. All Stoked rods from 2021 and on will feature Eco-friendly PVD coated guides in gun smoke finish. They are delivered in rod bag and a PP- (Polypropylene) tube with strong recycled Polyester fabric cover.

Guideline Stoked Switch Fly Rod

Two new 4-piece Switch rods designed and rated with US Switch weight standards in mind. This means they should be loaded with the same weights as normally used on Scandinavian Double hand rods. Stoked Switch rods are well-balanced, easy-to-cast and have medium fast actions with a forgiving curve that absorbs beginner errors in the casting stroke. The action is well suited for both Scandi- and Skagit style casting and has a tolerance for a large weight-span in lines to accommodate preferences for both styles.   The length of these rods makes them easy to manage and possible to use as a single hander if you feel the need for that in special situations. They are very well suited for fishing in small- to medium-sized rivers. Because of the line rating, these are powerful rods that manage wind, rather large and heavy flies, as well as a great variety of line types and densities without worries. Both models feature up-locking reel seats and have carefully designed grips with a 265 mm foregrip and 90 mm rear grip. Like all other Stoked 2021 models, these also will feature new and further updated Eco-friendly components.

ROD MODELS

Stoked 11’ #7/8 Switch This is a great choice if you like to start using Switch rods and all the fun that comes with them. Light, with a medium-fast action and a performance far beyond that you would expect from rods at this level. This is the right line weight to start with if your target isn’t the largest fish in medium- and larger sized rivers.   We recommend that you rig this rod with the following lines for Scandi/Spey style casts: 3D Compact 30 grams #7/8 Shooting Heads. These are available in seven models from Float to S2/5/7.  4D Compact Multi Tip (Bodies and Tips). The best combination is Floating (or F/S3) 22 grams Body with 12’/7gr Tips (Available from Float to S5/7). For Skagit Style casts, or generally more load of the rod, the following set-up will work well: 4D Compact 25 grams/385 grains Body + 10’ or 12’/7 grams/108 grains Tips. (Available from Float to S5/7).   Stoked 11’ #8/9 Switch Stoked Switch rods are an inexpensive way to try out this popular style of fishing. This 8/9-weight rod has a lot of power and a medium-fast action that is easy to use. We are sure you’ll be positively surprised with the casting properties in this rod. It is a great choice for rivers where big fish swim and where you need large flies, heavier lines and fast sinking tips to catch them.   The rod works great with the following lines for Scandi/Spey style casts and technique:  3D Compact 33 grams #8/9 Shooting Heads. These are available in seven models from Float to S2/5/7. 4D Compact Multi Tip (Bodies and Tips). The best combination is Floating (or F/S3) 25 grams Body with 12’/7gr Tips (Available from Float to S5/7). For Skagit Style casts, or generally more load of the rod, the following set-up will work well: 4D Compact 29 grams/447 grains Body + 10’ or 12’/7 grams/108 grains Tips. (Available from Float to S5/7).

Guideline Stoked Fly Rod

Stoked features the latest in material patterns and production technology that let us make entry level rods at a totally game changing level. When the development process was over, we were so impressed that we just had to call them what we felt - Stoked. The Stoked series also feature many of the same eco-friendly components as the Elevation, a good incentive for the environmentally cautious angler. Compared to the Elevation these rods feature a slightly lower modulus carbon 24T/30T/36T vs. 36T/40T which make them easier to cast for the beginner and more forgiving for casting errors. Yet these are light and responsive rods with an action and feel that is associated with rods at a much higher level of performance and price. The rod action is medium fast with a sensitive and stable tip. The bend is progressive down the blank which gives you great feel and you easily connect to the rod for all types of casts.

ROD MODELS

Stoked 8'6 #4, 9' #5 & 9' #6: The 4 and 5 wt are typical all-round trout rods for dries, nymphs and lighter streamers. The 6wt is the choice for bigger flies, bigger fish and more windy conditions a great option for the lighter coastal fishing too.   Stoked 9' #7-8-9: Typical rods for the heavier fishing after migratory trout, pike, salmon, seatrout and bonefish. These rods suit rivers, lakes, coastal and flats fishing where big fish and demeaning conditions are common.   Stoked 9'6 #6-7-8: This rod length is a great compromise and a favourite among many for lake-, coast- and river usage after trout, seatrout and salmon. The slightly longer rod vs a 9ft gives better reach in the river, and height when deep wading or fishing from a boat or float tube. Due to a slightly deeper bend in the action vs the 9ft this length is easier to use for Spey casting and usage of shooting heads when river fishing. Yet, it is not as long as a 10ft rod and will be less affected by the wind when coastal fishing and has more power for these weather exposed fishing places.   Stoked 10' #6-7: These rods are the favourite length for classic lake fishing from boat and bank, they are also an excellent choice for river fishing after trout, sea trout and salmon.

Guideline Vosso Fly Reel

These are the strongest and most advanced reels in the Guideline family. Vosso combines a striking design with a super strong and stable construction. All models come with a full frame housing to prevent shooting line to get stuck between spool and housing. The carbon/stainless steel drag system is rock solid, totally unaffected by outside conditions such as temperature change, water, moisture or dirt. The system is controlled by a comfortable and slightly recessed, large drag knob with a large field of adjustment for perfect fine tuning of the drag, eliminating the risk of “over-adjusting” in the heat of battle. A recessed reel foot mounted on a super strong truss-bar construction brings the reel close to the rod for reduced torque and better balance. These reels have been manufactured and designed for the most demanding usage; fishing for salmon, trophy trout, sea trout, Steelhead and Tropical species. The line and backing capacity is very generous, and the reel is light weight and extremely strong. #68 model suits single hand rods and lighter switch in #7 & #8. #79 is the natural choice for single- and switch rods in #7 to #9 and double hand in #8/9. #911 is for double hand rods in #8/9 to #10/11. #1113 have capacity for the most demanding tropical fishing after Tarpon and GT and is the reel for double handers in 15-16ft, line weight #10/11 and #11/12.

Guideline Fario LW Fly Reel

These reels carry the strong Truss X-construction features from our Vosso reels, but they have been adapted to suit the slender and gracious looks of the Fario LW reel. The recessed reel foot brings the reel closer to the grip for better balance and less torque when casting. A built-in tippet holder keeps loose mono/fluorocarbon ends in place to avoid tangle. The light, low diameter, waterproof and sealed drag system with a carbon/stainless disc stack generates 1.3 kg drag power for the #24 and #46 model, which is more than enough for any trout fishing. The 68 size will suit the needs of sea trout- migratory trout and single handed salmon anglers who look for a large arbor, light weight and solid reel with more drag power (2 kilo at spool bottom) than the two smaller sizes. The adjustment range of the brake is 360° and offers settings from just short of free-spooling to a firm smooth drag calibrated to suit the expected types of fishing this reel is aimed at. Trophy sized fish with the most delicate tippets? These reels are your best friend! Featuring a slightly oversized spool diameter, Fario LW offer fast retrieve and generous backing capacity. Guideline Halo Fly Reel

In it's price range HALO has class leading qualities in all aspects of material and manufacturing. These large arbor fly reels are CNC-machined of high quality aluminium to ensure a top experience on the water and flawless functionality. All models come with a full frame design/rim cage to stabilize the frame and prevent thin shooting lines from getting caught between frame and spool. A construction that meets the multitude of fly lines in modern fly fishing. The large arbor design of these light weight fly reels gives a quick retrieve and less coiling of the fly line. The smooth, precise and sealed drag system on the Halo is well proven over years of fishing in all elements. Six reel models sets the range from the most delicate Euro Nymphing via trout- and salmon fishing to the craziest tropical battles.

DESIGN & DRAG SYSTEM

Halo Fly Reel is built on a modern disc drag concept with carbon and stainless discs stacked against each other. To optimize performance and design, we have chosen to work with two different sizes and drag strengths for smaller and larger reel sizes. 1,5 kg at bottom of spool on the 3 smallest sizes and 4,0 kg drag on the largest three sizes. This will ensure best possible use of the drag when fighting fish. The retrieve direction on the reels is easy to change and only takes a couple of minutes to perform. The rims on both the spool & the back side has engraved circles to give the reel the Halo effect. All sizes has the same design, except the brake knob. The three larger sizes has a bigger, fully chromed knob, while the three smaller reels have a smaller knob with a centre plate in the same colour as the reel.

Guideline Fario Click Fly Reel

Guideline Fario Click is a new member in the Fario fly reel family with a smooth clicker drag and full frame to prevent thin lines from getting stuck between spool and frame. Compared to other brands our model has an adjustable dual-pin clicker system, so you can set the resistance in three different levels. And as the clicker pin legs have different diameters you also get a lighter pressure when you retrieve the line, and a bit harder ´break´ when a fish runs for the horizon. But to be fair there is no actual break in this type of fly reel, the clicker system is more about avoid over-run of the spool. For the lightest fishing they will match our new LPX Tactical rods and LPX Nymph rods perfectly.

Part of the design is unique and can only be achieved by using a die casting method where reels are produced from high precision tooling and then CNC finished before being coated with the final finish. There are 3 models available and they will fit rods from #4 up to 10/11.   All three models have a full rim cage to stabilize the frame and prevent thin shooting lines from getting caught between frame and spool.
