Fario Fly - Sneaky Red Quill Buzzer
The Mirage Quill series of buzzers have been extremely popular in recent years. The use of stripped peacock quills give a superb realistic segmented effect on the body of the fly. The thorax is covered with large mirage tinsel and the cheeks are made using our sunburst goose biots. As with all of our buzzers they are sealed with at least three layers of our buzzer finishing varnish to create an excellent finish. Keep these in your fly box during April-May and we're sure you'll have some great results! Fario Fly - Olive Bunny Cormorant
We tie all of our cormorant flies with the tips of rabbit fur and here's why: It provides a consistent length time after time. It is more durable therefore tends not to pull out. It has loads more movement in the water. It does not look "bulky" like some cormorants tied with Marabou. We think it fishes better! The Olive version is a fantastic pattern when used in conjunction with other flies such as a FAB or Booby. We have found this fly particularly successful when fishing clear water. We tie all of our cormorant flies with the tips of rabbit fur and here's why: It provides a consistent length time after time. It is more durable therefore tends not to pull out.It has loads more movement in the water.It does not look "bulky" like some cormorants tied with Marabou. We think it fishes better! The Traffic Light version is a fantastic pattern for fishing in all light conditions thanks to it's reflective body of Mirage Tinsel over Red Holographic.
