Fishing Flies
Fario Fly - White and Silver Hummungus
Originally devised in Scotland on the mighty Loch Leven this generic lure pattern has been unbelievably popular for both Rainbow and Brown Trout all around the world! This fly has caught Rainbows in Alaska, Brown Trout in Tasmania and literally thousands of stocked and wild fish here in the UK. This is a particularly good baitfish pattern and often best paired with a Black and Gold or a Black and Silver variation. As per the original dressing this is tied on a size 8 heavyweight wet fly hook with large bead chain eyes and the all important long "webby" Cree hackle.
Fario Fly - Flexi Bunny Olive
The Flexi Bunny range is a great lure for fishing during the winter period. This fly has lots of movement with its rabbit body and rubber legs. The mobile Krystal Hackle adds mobility and the Ice Dub body gives off just the right amount of flash required. The over sized dumbell eyes give this pattern sufficient weight which helps to sink this mouthful of a fly.Great for fishing on a sunk line.

Fario Fly - Olive 10cm Snake
The snake fly is without a doubt the "heavy weight" of the trout fly world and this huge fly has the ability to pull fish out of nowhere and big fish too! The Olive version we have found to be great for fish that are a little shy or fish that are hitting fry. Fish this on a variety of lines from a floater right down to a fast sinking line. The best retrieves are just as varied as the line choice, where a super slow figure of eight can be just as effective as a fast strip. One thing we have found when using these flies is mixing the retrieve around can bring great results and without a doubt always, always, always "hang this fly". All of our snakes flies are connected with super strong nano braid which is strong enough to hold big fish yet supple enough to enhance the movement of the rabbit zonker strip. You will see what we mean when it is in the water!
Fario Fly - IPN White Cat
The IPN or "Idiot Proof Nymph" is probably the most basic lure used on small waters and reservoirs alike. These Lures are essentially long marabou tailed flies with blob fritz bodies, a matching hot head bead and contrasting varnished thread collar. All of this makes for a very simple but very effective fly. They are superb at catching stocked fish and we always prefer to fish them singularly or teamed with another IPN. For the White Cat Version our favourite matching fly is the Black Cat.

Fario Fly - Black 10cm Snake
The snake fly is without a doubt the "heavy weight" of the trout fly world and this huge fly has the ability to pull fish out of nowhere and big fish too! The black version we have found to be extremely effective for fresh "stockies" at the start of the season and in coloured water too. Fish this on a variety of lines from a floater right down to a fast sinking line. The best retrieves are just as varied as the line choice, where a super slow figure of eight can be just as effective as a fast strip.
