Quite a few years back, Mikael Frodin came up with the idea for a multi-coloured backing that would make it possible to track how much line leaves your reel during a fight. Our Frodin SALAR Multi-coloured Backing is different than what you can find on the markets—it gives you even more control! Our backing changes colour only five times on each spool, showing each colour once so as not to be confused. Fight even the biggest fish with full control.

Green – All good
Yellow – Good run!
Dark yellow – Half is gone; time to move!
