This discreet classic sunshine fly has, in many variations, been with us since the early eighties. It’s one of those timeless patterns that remains highly effective even today. We favour it in clear rivers, fishing it on bright sunny days as well as when clouds roll in and a light, subtle fly is the best option. What makes this modern version so effective is its translucent and sparsely tied appearance. We fish the Silver Grey in all sizes, adapting to the conditions at hand. We’ve retained the original colour concept, enhanced it with our SSS synthetics, and transformed it into a soft, modern, drop-formed classic that will swim and outfish the original feather wing.
